I have been baking cakes, cookies and other goodies ever since my grandmother taught me when I used to have to stand on a stool to reach the counter. When my daughter was young and cash was tight, I used to bake gifts or make sweets for the family and in later years I baked various themed celebration cakes, from one depicting my father's yacht to a 1930's style birthday cake. Of course family and friends have always said I should take baking up commercially (they have to be supportive of course!) but it wasn't until others who weren't related to me started saying the same that I considered it a possibility! A recent change in my career has opened that opportunity and I am now thrilled to announce Jeannette's Homemade is open for business!
